A 16-year-old teenager has been left with stitches in his cheek and a broken eye socket after an alleged hammer attack in Livingston. Lucas Milligan was waiting at a bus stop outside of Lidl on Alderstone Road when a man is claimed to have approached him with a hammer shortly after 11pm on Saturday, June 20.
Teenager's injuries and family response
His father, John Milligan, said his son is shaken by the incident and suffered four serious injuries to his face during the ordeal. In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, Lucas appears to have serious bruising around his eye as well as stitches on his cheek. John stated: “My son was attacked last night outside Lidl. He was just minding his own business waiting on a bus home when a man came and attacked him with a hammer. He was seriously injured on the right side of his face. They have broken his eye socket as well as in three other places on his head. He will have to have an operation but for now they have put in stitches. The man came out of nowhere and did this to him while he was trying to get home.”
