Victim Condemns 'Sexist' Sentencing After Ex-Girlfriend Avoids Prison for Revenge Porn Campaign

A 24-year-old man has launched a scathing attack on what he calls a "sexist" justice system after his former girlfriend escaped a prison sentence for sending revenge porn to his mother and conducting a prolonged stalking campaign. Eve Yeoman, also 24, admitted to sharing an intimate photograph without consent alongside multiple stalking and criminal damage offenses, yet received only a community order.

A Campaign of Harassment and Humiliation

The victim, who cannot be named, described how Yeoman waged a three-month campaign of harassment after he ended their three-year relationship. This included bombarding him with phone calls, waiting outside his workplace and home, and ultimately sending a sexually explicit photo she had taken without his knowledge to his mother.

The intimate image was accompanied by a vindictive message: "This is what your son is like. I hope him and all his family rot in hell." The victim said discovering this act left him feeling "violated" and "very embarrassed," causing him to withdraw from family life temporarily.

Escalating Violence and Damage

The stalking, which occurred between November 2025 and January this year, escalated to dangerous and destructive acts. On one occasion, Yeoman tailgated and overtook the victim's car before slamming on her brakes, forcing an emergency stop. In another incident, she threw a bottle at his moving vehicle while it traveled at 45mph, cracking the windscreen and denting the bonnet, causing £2,547 in damage.

The victim also believes Yeoman was responsible for throwing a corrosive substance over his car and a friend's vehicle. He described her behavior during their relationship as "violent, controlling and manipulative," stating he was "too scared to walk away" until finally finding the courage to end it.

'A Lenient and Sexist Outcome'

At Poole Magistrates' Court, Yeoman, of Lytchett Matravers, Dorset, admitted charges of sharing an intimate photo, stalking, and criminal damage. District Judge Orla Austin acknowledged the "vindictive" nature of sending the sexual image to cause "maximum distress and humiliation." However, the judge cited the 25 days Yeoman served on remand as equivalent to an eight-to-ten week custodial sentence, justifying a community order instead of prison.

Yeoman was given a 12-month community order with 200 hours of unpaid work, ordered to pay £600 in compensation, and issued a restraining order banning contact with her ex-partner.

The victim expressed outrage at this outcome. "I think her sentence is far too lenient," he said. "When I saw the email from the police officer telling me, my first reaction was that it was an April Fools Joke. I feel if it was a man who had done all these things he would've most likely received at least two years in jail."

He added, "This just outlines the justice system being sexist in my opinion." The man also highlighted the financial injustice, noting the £600 fine for the £2,500 car damage left him £1,900 out of pocket during a time when "money is a bit tight."

Living in Fear

The victim revealed the lasting psychological impact of Yeoman's actions. "I fear every day that something will happen. My family and I do not feel safe at home anymore," he stated. He described constant anxiety from countless unidentified phone calls and sightings of Yeoman near his home, which is 20 miles from where she lives.

Reflecting on the broader issue, he concluded, "Revenge porn can happen to anyone and it's something I never thought would happen to myself." The case highlights ongoing debates about sentencing consistency and gender perceptions in the justice system for intimate image abuse and stalking offenses.
