In a bizarre festive crime, a colossal 40-foot-tall inflatable Santa Claus has been stolen from a popular Christmas tree farm in Phoenix.
The Scene of the Crime
The theft occurred at Kraemer's Tree Lots, a family-owned business, between the night of Saturday, 14 December, and the early hours of Sunday, 15 December 2025. The giant decoration, which also measures an impressive 20 feet wide, was a beloved attraction for visiting families who enjoyed taking photographs with it.
How the Theft Unfolded
According to initial reports, the thieves cut through a fence to gain access to the inflatable figure. It is believed they then deflated the massive Father Christmas before dragging it away from the premises. The sheer scale of the decoration suggests the operation would have required planning and effort.
Investigation Underway
Phoenix police have opened an investigation into the incident. In a community effort to catch the culprits, neighbours in the area are reviewing their private security camera footage in the hope of identifying the individuals responsible for the Christmas theft.
The owners of Kraemer's Tree Lots have expressed their disappointment, noting that the inflatable was more than just a decoration; it was a source of seasonal joy and a traditional photo spot for their customers. The investigation continues as authorities piece together the events of that night.
