Magaluf 'Wolf Pack' Gang's Chilling Silence After British Teen Rape Conviction
Magaluf Gang's Chilling Silence After Teen Rape Conviction

In a deeply disturbing case that has shocked the international community, a vile 'wolf pack' gang responsible for raping a British teenager in Magaluf has displayed a chilling lack of remorse, with many members refusing to answer questions about their heinous crimes. The eight men, comprising seven French nationals and one Swiss individual, were convicted this week at the Audiencia Provincial court in Palma, Majorca, for the brutal attack on a young British holidaymaker in August 2023.

Sentences Handed Down for Horrific Attack

Five of the perpetrators received prison sentences ranging from nine to 11 years for their roles in the gang rape, while another admitted to a sexual assault without penetration and was sentenced to four years. All eight men confessed to filming the sickening assault in room 108 of the BH Mallorca Resort, with two even posting the footage on Snapchat, amplifying the victim's trauma.

Shocking Lack of Cooperation

Insiders reveal that many of the cowardly attackers refused to cooperate with police during the investigation and later with the courts, maintaining a stubborn silence throughout the legal process. One source stated, "Some have never agreed to answer questions or give statements. These men appear on the surface to be regular young guys who don’t come from broken families and have never tried to allege they were acting out of character by trying to link what they did to the abuse of alcohol or drugs. It's such a shocking case."

Gruesome Details of the Assault

Court documents, signed by all the men as part of their plea bargain deals, detail the horrific nature of the attack. French tourists Khalil Abderrahmen Mejbri and Romain Charles Michel Galatioto orally penetrated the victim, who had been drinking heavily and fell into a state of unconsciousness during the half-hour-long gang rape. Galatioto committed this act seven times while the teenager was naked apart from her bra.

Additionally, Frenchman Anthony Guy Gerard Wengler and Swiss national Lucas Haiaiel Ngandjeu Djamen Tchatchou raped her at least once, as did Thomas Eric Coretin Wisniewski, also from France. The violence escalated when Tchatchou and Wengler spat at the victim and whipped her, along with Mejbri, after Frenchman Satilmis Sahan slapped her.

Discovery and Arrests

The attack came to light when a security guard at the hotel found the victim sobbing on the floor in the foyer upon arriving for his shift, promptly reporting the incident to police. Two of the suspects were tracked down abroad on a European Arrest Warrant and extradited, while six were detained in Majorca. At least six of the men were aged between 18 and 26 at the time of their arrest, and none had prior criminal records in Spain.

Legal Outcomes and Compensation

Mejbri and Wisniewski received nine-year prison sentences for "sexual assault with carnal access," a severe form of sexual crime involving non-consensual penetration. Wengler, Tchatchou, and Galatioto were handed 11-year jail terms after admitting to the same offence. Sahan, who admitted to "sexual assault without penetration," was sentenced to four years. In addition to their prison terms, all eight men have been ordered to compensate the victim with more than €100,000 (£86,000).

This case underscores the brutal reality of sexual violence and the often cold-hearted response of perpetrators, leaving a lasting impact on the victim and raising serious concerns about safety in tourist destinations like Magaluf.
