A major road in Essex has been sealed off for hours after a pair of serious collisions in the early hours of this morning, which resulted in five emergency service personnel being rushed to hospital.
Double Collision on the A130
The incident began when a single vehicle was involved in a crash close to the Sadlers Farm roundabout on the A130 shortly after midnight on Saturday, 10 January 2026. Off-duty police officers and paramedics who were passing by or lived locally stopped to provide immediate assistance at the scene.
Tragically, while these first responders were dealing with the initial incident, a second collision occurred. This subsequent crash left two of the attending paramedics and three of the off-duty officers with injuries. All five were taken to hospital for treatment.
