Police have issued an urgent appeal to locate the mother of a newborn baby girl who was found dead in a warehouse in Rowley Regis, West Midlands. The infant's body was discovered in a pile of waste at an industrial site on Station Road on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

West Midlands Police confirmed that the baby, believed to be a girl, was found deceased at the scene. Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, leading the inquiry, stated: 'This is a tragic incident, and our primary focus is to locate the mother to ensure she receives the appropriate medical and emotional support.'
The warehouse, part of a larger industrial estate, was cordoned off as forensic teams examined the area. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward, particularly those who may have seen a woman in distress near the site.
