Police have launched a murder probe following a fatal shooting on a residential street in north-west London, which left a 55-year-old man dead.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to West End Close in the Stonebridge area at 9.35pm on Friday, 19 December 2025, following reports of a firearm being discharged. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with gunshot wounds.
Despite the immediate efforts of both police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
Appeal for Witnesses and Information
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, from the Met's specialist crime team, is leading the investigation. He acknowledged the incident would cause significant concern locally and has confirmed a visible increase in police patrols in the Stonebridge area.
In a direct appeal to the public, DCI John stated: "Our investigation remains a priority. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information, including dashcam footage, that will assist us with our enquiries to contact us at the earliest opportunity."
He added a specific request, noting: "We also believe there was a large group of people congregated nearby at the time the incident happened, and we are keen to hear from them."
Ongoing Investigation and Community Support
The victim's next of kin have been informed and are currently receiving support from specially trained police officers. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder.
