Scottish bareknuckle boxer and Muay Thai fighter Callum Kerr was left in a critical condition after he allegedly began attacking passengers on a Jet2 flight from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Manchester, according to reports. The incident occurred on 21 June 2026, and Kerr is now in a stable but critical condition.
Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, Kerr was reportedly drunk after heavy drinking and boarded the flight with his girlfriend. He quickly became involved in a row with a female passenger, who allegedly had to be moved from her seat for her own safety. Kerr then began physically assaulting the man who had been sitting next to her.
One passenger described the altercation: “Some guy locked eyes with him, and the man walking up and down the aisle headbutted him.” The boxer was restrained by several passengers, with around three or four pinning him down. The same witness noted that after shouting for the entire flight, Kerr fell silent upon landing.
Health Deterioration and Police Response
It is not known precisely what caused Kerr's deterioration in health, but the boxer, in his 30s, was reportedly not breathing at one point. He is now believed to be in a stable but critical condition, according to The Sun.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they are investigating the incident. In a statement, the force said: “Greater Manchester Police are investigating an incident onboard flight LS966 Larnaca - Manchester on 21st June 2026.
