A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after a woman was allegedly grabbed for her car keys in Forest Hall, North Tyneside. The incident occurred on Great Lime Road at around 10pm on Monday, June 15, according to Northumbria Police.

Details of the Incident

The victim, a woman, had just left a nearby shop and was getting into her car when she was approached by a male. Police reported that the male was indecently exposing himself at the time. He then allegedly demanded that the victim hand over her car keys. The male is said to have grabbed the woman, but she refused to comply and managed to escape from him.

The woman was left shaken but uninjured following the ordeal. Police confirmed that the suspect, a 16-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. He has since been released on bail with strict conditions as investigations continue.
