Brit Girl, 3, Critical After Pool Incident in Mallorca

A three-year-old British girl is in a 'very serious' condition in hospital after being found 'floating face-down' in a swimming pool at her family's holiday villa in Pollensa, northern Mallorca. The incident occurred around 8pm on June 24, and the child was rushed to Son Espases University Hospital in Palma with a very weak pulse. Her condition has not improved overnight.

Parents' Rescue Efforts

The girl's parents reportedly jumped into the water after discovering her floating face-down and began CPR before local police arrived and took over. An ambulance crew later revived her at the scene before she was transported to hospital.

Fourth Such Incident Involving British Families

This tragedy is the fourth involving British families in just over a week. On June 15, a one-year-old British toddler was found floating in a hotel pool in Lajares, Fuerteventura. The child suffered irreversible neurological damage and died in hospital. On June 17, a three-year-old British boy died after falling into a pool at a holiday farmhouse near Periana, Costa del Sol. On June 22, a four-year-old British girl drowned in a hotel pool in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote.
