Tragedy on Bonfire Night in Oldbury

A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a teenage woman on a street in the West Midlands. Lily Whitehouse, aged 19, was discovered with serious injuries on Park Street in Oldbury at approximately 9.50pm on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 – Bonfire Night.

Emergency Response and Fatal Outcome

Despite the immediate and best efforts of paramedics and other emergency services at the scene, the young woman was pronounced dead a short time later. The area was cordoned off as investigations began into the tragic incident that cut a young life short.

Court Appearance and Community Grief

Mohammed Azim, 41, has been formally charged with her murder. He appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court and has been remanded in custody. Azim is scheduled to appear at the city's crown court on Monday.
