Teacher told pupil about husband's 'hot' warning before sex

A teacher who had sex with a teenage pupil was warned by her own husband that her 'hot' looks could get her into trouble at school. McKenna Kindred, 28, then echoed these warnings in a string of marriage-trashing texts to the 17-year-old she molested.

Disgraced educator sentenced

The disgraced educator, of Spokane in Washington, was sentenced in April 2024 to two years' probation for first-degree sexual misconduct. Newly obtained police records reveal further disturbing details uncovered through a Spokane County Sheriff's Office records request, the Daily Mail reports.

In one flirtatious exchange, the teenage boy asked Kindred whether her husband ever got 'mad' at her. Kindred replied: 'Haha not like mad mad, more like you need to be careful. You're hot and kids know it and you can get in trouble if you're not careful.'

Sex in marital bed

In November 2022, Kindred had sex with the 17-year-old in her marital bed for three-and-a-half hours while her husband Kyle Kindred was away hunting. The boy's mother reported the encounter to the police around a month after it had occurred.

The police documents also disclosed that the shamed teacher had bombarded the boy with texts complaining about her husband. In one of a string of deeply inappropriate messages to the boy, McKenna Kindred wrote: 'I'm not grumpy till he gets home. So you help me more than you know.'

Trivial disputes detailed

The former teacher then proceeded to outline an increasingly trivial dispute with her husband, Kyle, which flared up after he returned from work and told her he was pleased she was being 'pleasant tonight and not grumpy with me.' According to the messages, tensions escalated into a full-blown row – with Kindred even relaying the step-by-step exchange to the teenager.

The couple eventually went out for food at Wendy's, but that reportedly turned bitter. She wrote: 'So we got there and I said don't order yet, I don't know what I want, and then he started ordering and so then he was like what do you want?' Kindred wrote. 'And I said I have no clue! I said wait a minute, and he said okay drama, what do you want, then I said nothing, I'll eat something at home.' Kindred then confessed she walked away from the restaurant and went home without eating.

Previous stalking allegations

The newly obtained records also reveal allegations from Kindred about being stalked by a student during a previous teaching job in Idaho – a situation she claims escalated so severely that a school was put into lockdown at one point to safeguard pupils and staff, including herself.
