Horror in Huyton as Teenager Loses Hand in Violent Assault
A teenager's hand was severed in a brutal attack at a house party in Merseyside, leading to a major police investigation and six arrests. The shocking incident took place on the night of Friday, September 26, at a birthday celebration on Colin Close in Huyton.
Chaotic Scene as Victim Flees to Nearby Pub
Following the assault, the 18-year-old victim reportedly fled the property and ran into a pub directly across the road, The Stanley Arms. Witnesses described a scene of horror, with one stating there was 'blood everywhere' as the young man entered the establishment just seconds before it was due to lock its doors. Another source told the Liverpool Echo that the victim ran in with 'part of his arm hacked off', with his hand described as being 'cut clean off'.
The pub was forced to remain closed the following Saturday while professional cleaners dealt with the aftermath. A spokesperson for The Stanley Arms confirmed their team had assisted the injured individual and called emergency services.
Police Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests
Merseyside Police have been conducting an extensive enquiry into the violent disorder. The force initially arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and section 18 wounding with intent. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
Last month, a third man, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of S18 wounding with intent and has been released on conditional bail. In a significant update on November 21, police confirmed three further arrests of 17-year-old boys on suspicion of assisting an offender.
This brings the total number of individuals arrested in connection with the incident to six. A 17-year-old also sustained a minor hand injury during the same event. All six people who were arrested remain on police bail as enquiries continue.
