Raducanu Launches Vegan Deodorant Range Before Wimbledon

Emma Raducanu has unveiled her new vegan deodorant range just five days before the start of Wimbledon. The 23-year-old, who carries a No. 30 seeding at the Grand Slam, revealed her latest commercial venture on Instagram on Tuesday.

New Vegan Deodorant Range

The personal hygiene collection has been developed in partnership with vegan cosmetics brand Wild. 'The Garden of England' range, which Raducanu says draws inspiration from her Kent upbringing, features a number of distinct fragrances that she showcased in her social media post.

Her announcement read: "I'm so excited to share what I've been working on with the team at @wildrefill over the past year! Introducing my 'The Garden of England' collection. This is a scent range inspired by my upbringing in Kent and favourite memories of being outside. We used notes of fresh green leaves, rhubarb and rose petals. It really smells like summer and feels like home. Garden of England is available in deodorant, antiperspirant, and body wash, only in the UK. Let me know what you guys think if you try it out!"

Wimbledon Preparation

With Wimbledon just around the corner, the 2021 US Open champion will be eager to maintain her impressive form on grass. Raducanu made it through to the Queen's final last week, only to be beaten by Donna Vekic in straight sets. The reappointment of coach Andrew Richardson has thus far yielded a notable improvement in her performances.

Tim Henman was left stunned by the initial dismissal of Richardson following Raducanu's triumph at Flushing Meadows. The former world No. 4, who shares a close bond with Richardson, expressed his disbelief when Raducanu chose to part ways with her coach.

Henman's Comments

Speaking to The Guardian, Henman said: "I was surprised she chose not to work with him. She's worked with a lot of coaches since then and now I really hope that her decision to get back with Andrew works for both their sakes. He's one of my best friends and I've also been around Emma. So it would be good if results improve."

Since claiming the US Open title, Raducanu has yet to progress beyond the fourth round of a Grand Slam. When Henman was asked whether that landmark victory had hampered her development on the court, he explained: "It was so unexpected because no one had ever qualified and made the final of a Slam, let alone qualified and won it. So she didn't really have a foundation to build from. She'd just done her A-levels and played some grass-court tournaments and then her ranking went up to No. 20 in the world. All of a sudden she was playing top-level events and she wasn't ready, physically and mentally. You can't drop down to build match practice and resilience but would you rather it had not happened? Absolutely not. It's one of the most incredible achievements in sport."
