Paloma Faith, the singer and star of Celebrity Traitors, has revealed that she once suspected comedian Alan Carr of leaking details of her breakup to the press. The revelation comes after Carr, as a traitor on the show, 'poisoned' Faith, leading to her elimination.
In a resurfaced clip from their podcast Mad, Sad and Bad, Faith confronted Carr about a past incident. She recalled attending a Halloween party with him, after which news of her relationship ending appeared in the press, despite her not having told anyone. Faith said she called Carr to ask if he had mentioned it by accident, but he denied it.
Carr, known for his love of gossip, admitted to being a 'gossip hypocrite' during the conversation. When Faith pressed him, he jokingly accused her of setting a trap, saying, 'This is a trap, Pam! Start the car, let's get out of here!'
Following her on-screen 'murder' by Carr, Faith expressed her frustration on the spin-off show Traitors: Uncloaked, saying, 'These are like three of my favourite people that I was sure… I hope they never call me again. Bang out of order.' However, a source indicated that Faith's reaction is part of the game, and she and Carr remain firm friends.
Celebrity Traitors continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
