Amy Adams was joined by her 15-year-old daughter Aviana at the premiere of her latest TV series, Cape Fear, a remake of the classic film now streaming on Apple TV. The actress, accompanied by her husband Darren Le Gallo and their daughter, marked the occasion with a rare family red carpet appearance.
However, fans quickly noticed Aviana's striking resemblance to Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson. Social media erupted with comparisons, as users commented on photos of the pair. One fan wrote, 'Her daughter looks just like Scarlett Johansson!!!!!,' while another added, 'Oh my gosh, your daughter looks like Scarlett Johansson very beautiful. Congrats on the new show.' A third quipped, 'Does Amy Adams know she gave birth to Scarlett Johansson?'
Adams, known for roles in Arrival, Enchanted, and American Hustle, often shares her projects with Aviana but is selective about what she shows her. Referring to her film Nightbitch, a black comedy horror, Adams explained during a 2024 TIFF appearance, 'Parts of it I'm excited to share with her, being that it's her mum I'm going to be a little bit more protective of certain aspects of the filmmaking. I think what I want her to know about my experience of motherhood is how much she's enriched my life and made me the woman that I am today.'
The mother-daughter bond is strong, with Adams telling People Magazine, 'I tell her that all the time, but it's true and I'm glad that she's here tonight to get to celebrate with me.' The Sharp Objects star also revealed that Aviana influenced her makeup choices, saying, 'She didn't like me wearing make-up. She's like, 'I just want you to look like mum, not like Amy Adams.' And I was like, 'You got it.' So, there were years where I didn't wear make-up wherever we went. I mean, I sneaked some mascara. But yeah, I wouldn't wear make-up because she wanted me to be just mum.'
However, Aviana has encouraged her mother to upgrade her wardrobe. Adams added, 'I'm usually the least manicured at my household. But lately, per my daughter's request, I'm working on an upgrade. She's like, 'You can't wear workout clothes if you're not working out, mum. You can't just do the leisure part of athleisure.''
