I'm A Celebrity Winner Angry Ginge Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Cousin Harley
Angry Ginge's Emotional Tribute to Late Cousin Harley

Morgan Burtwistle, the 24-year-old YouTuber and social media personality better known as Angry Ginge, has shared an emotional and heartfelt tribute to his late cousin Harley on his social media platforms this Friday. The I'm A Celebrity winner opened up about the tragic loss of his family member, who passed away at the young age of just 19.

A Personal Tribute and Call for Support

In a poignant post, Morgan revealed how he plans to honour his cousin's memory during a public appearance. He wore a black armband during the Match For Hope football game, a gesture commonly used by footballers to commemorate lost loved ones. Speaking directly to his followers, Morgan explained the significance behind this act.

He said: 'I will be wearing a black arm band like footballers do when you lose someone. Two weeks ago, one of my cousins Harley passed away, he was only 19 and a Manchester lad as usual, same place as we're all from. So I'm wearing the arm band for him, for his family and so I thought I'd let you all know beforehand.'

Supporting the Family Through Difficult Times

The social media star also directed his substantial following to a GoFundMe page that has been established to help Harley's family cover funeral expenses during this devastating period. Morgan personally contributed an incredible £3,000 to the fundraising effort and encouraged others to donate whatever they could afford.

'He's also got a GoFundMe if you want to donate a quid or 50p if you can or a fiver - anything you can, feel free. I've also donated so I'm not doing one of those things where you do and I don't, don't worry, but yeah it would mean the world to their family,' Morgan told his audience.

Remembering Harley's Vibrant Spirit

The GoFundMe page, which has already raised over £16,000 at the time of writing, includes a touching tribute that captures Harley's personality and the profound impact of his loss on those who knew him. The description paints a picture of a young man full of life and potential.

The tribute reads: 'The smile he had could light up any room and I cannot understand or even imagine how much pain his family is going through so let's make it as easy as it can be for them and help support them. Please give as big or as little anything will help to give him the best day possible.'

It continues: 'Harley was a beautiful funny, loving, mischievous, caring lad with the whole world ahead of him. He was the life and soul of the party and would light up the room with his infectious smile, funny character and let's not forget his rapping we all know he loved a good rap. He was the most amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew cousin and friend to all always making everyone around him smile and laugh.'

A Successful Career Amid Personal Loss

This emotional tribute comes at a time when Morgan's media career has reached new heights of success. The Salford-born star, who grew up in modest council housing, has recently purchased his first home for £420,000 - a mock Tudor newbuild featuring modern amenities including a hot tub, covered patio, and spacious gardens.

His phenomenal success in 2025 has seen him earn approximately £1.2 million in the last year alone, with £100,000 coming from his appearance on I'm A Celebrity. Morgan has amassed more than five million followers across various social media platforms, making him highly sought after by commercial brands including Puma and JD Sport.

Despite his rising fame and financial success, Morgan has remained grounded, recently reflecting on his jungle experience: 'I was a massive fan of the show but it was a lot harder than I thought. I reached out to people who had been on it before for tips and clues but no one told me how hard it was going to be.'

The contrast between Morgan's professional achievements and this personal tragedy highlights the human side of social media celebrities, reminding followers that behind the online persona lies a person dealing with the same challenges and losses that affect us all.
