Celia Walden Makes Rare Confession After Royal Ascot with Piers Morgan
Celia Walden's Cheeky Bet Confession After Royal Ascot

Journalist and novelist Celia Walden made a rare confession to fans after attending Royal Ascot with her husband, Piers Morgan. The 50-year-old Telegraph columnist shared a carousel of photos on Instagram from the event, where she joined pals Charlotte Hawkins and cricket legend Chris Gayle in the enclosure.

Walden looked striking in a blue Libelula maxi dress featuring lovebird prints and a figure-hugging bodice. She kept her blonde tresses down and wore oversized sunglasses instead of an elaborate hairdo. Former TalkTV presenter Piers Morgan complemented her look with a red and white striped tie and a top hat.

Walden's Betting Blunder

In her Instagram post, Walden included a snapshot of the Royal Ascot racecard, where she circled Albert Einstein, a three-year-old bay colt, as her betting option. Fans reacted with clapping hands emojis, but one commented: "Well, all this is lovely except for the fact that you did not make the correct bet."

Walden rebutted cheekily: "If it helps, it's all I think about, day and night." Another fan said "Looking fabulous," and a third posted a heart emoji.

Piers Morgan's Take

Piers Morgan also shared the same pictures on Instagram, captioning one: "Beauty and the beasts," referring to a photo of him standing between Walden and Charlotte Hawkins. He added: "Can't beat a day at Royal Ascot with like-minded miscreants, and incredibly generous hosts Daniel and Ben Wallace, whose spectacular array of iconic wines was of appropriately regal quality. We had a blast."

Entrepreneur Peter Jones joined the group, saying: "Fun times at Ascot. Just had a win with 'opportunity' so happy."
