Coronation Street's Alan Halsall Splits from Girlfriend

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has reportedly called time on his relationship with his girlfriend Ellie Dolan after one year, with sources saying the couple realised they were not what each other wanted.

Relationship Ends After Whirlwind Romance

The 43-year-old actor, best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap, and Ellie Dolan, 26, have unfollowed each other on social media. Halsall has also removed all traces of Dolan from his online profiles.

The pair met at Marriott Worsley Park golf club, where Dolan works and Halsall is a member. Their romance initially began as a casual fling but quickly became serious, with Dolan meeting Halsall's daughter, Sienna.

Source Reveals Details

“Alan enjoyed a whirlwind romance with Ellie. They got on really well, and she loved spending time with his daughter,” a source told The Sun. “It was supposed to be a bit of fun but turned serious quite quickly and they soon realised it wasn’t what they wanted. They discovered they were opposites and it wasn't going to work.”

Just earlier this year, the couple shared a steamy kiss photo on social media while ringing in the New Year together at home. However, in recent weeks, Halsall's social media has focused on his daughter, Sienna, as he prioritised family.

Previous Relationships

Halsall split from his Coronation Street co-star Tisha Merry in 2024 after five years together. He has an 11-year-old daughter, Sienna, with ex-wife and former Corrie and Hollyoaks actress Lucy-Jo Hudson, to whom he was married from 2009 until 2018.

Despite the heartache, Halsall is throwing himself into work. Last year, he signed a new contract to retain his role on the ITV soap, bringing his total tenure to 28 years. The Sun reported at the time: “Alan was thrilled to sign his contract earlier this year. He's made Tyrone into a cobbles classic so bosses are delighted he's agreed to stay for at least another year.”

The Mirror has approached Halsall's spokesperson for comment.
