Doja Cat turned heads with a daring fashion choice as she enjoyed a shopping spree in Manchester on Friday, just one day before her scheduled concert in the city. The 30-year-old American singer, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, went braless under a revealing pink cut-out top that accentuated her cleavage and abdominal muscles.
Bold Fashion Statement
She paired the top with striking leopard print pedal pushers and accessorized with a chain around her waist, from which hung cuddly toys. Doja Cat completed her look with oversized sunglasses and pink Louis Vuitton kitten heels as she confidently strolled through the city.
Tour Ma Vie World Tour
Following her Manchester performance, Doja Cat will continue her Tour Ma Vie world tour with additional UK dates before heading to Europe and the United States. The tour is set to conclude with a show at Madison Square Garden in November.
Opening Up About BPD
In a recent interview with ELLE UK, Doja Cat spoke candidly about her Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) diagnosis, which she first discussed in March. She admitted that the condition has made it difficult for her to trust romantic partners and described the coping mechanisms she uses daily.
"If I have a boyfriend and he leaves just to run errands, my brain thinks he's breaking up with me," she explained. "I have to scrape against it and teach myself that that's not happening to me. I'm safe."
BPD is a mental health condition characterized by mood swings, anger, and impulsiveness, affecting how individuals perceive themselves and others, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Walls and Vulnerability
Doja Cat also revealed that she intentionally builds emotional walls. "There are little things I do to make people think I don't care, or that I don't feel anything," she said. "I do those things on purpose to feel tough. And I am tough. But I'm not that tough. It is a mask."
Personal Life and Future Plans
The singer admitted to being a "serial dater" and was last linked to actor Joseph Quinn, with whom she was spotted in London in August 2024. Despite her busy schedule, Doja Cat expressed excitement about performing for UK fans, particularly the enthusiastic London crowd. However, she also revealed plans for a lengthy break after the tour.
"I think I want to take three years off," she told ELLE UK. "I want to just do whatever. I might do another mural. I'm going to furnish this whole upper area of my house because there's literally nothing in here and there's been nothing in here for four years or five."
Doja Cat released her fifth album in September, which features a heavy 1980s influence and debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart.
