EastEnders actor James Farrar has shared a heartbreaking update with fans, revealing a series of tragic events that have struck his family. The star, known for playing Zack Hudson on the BBC soap, took to Instagram to detail the loss of his beloved aunt, his mother's hospitalisation, and a frightening accident involving his young daughter.
In an emotional post, Farrar explained that his family had been documenting a road trip when they received news of the sudden and unexpected death of his aunt, Denny. Shortly after, his mother was admitted to hospital. Then, his daughter Summer fell and hit her head, requiring an emergency trip to A&E. Farrar wrote: 'When it rains it pours.'
The actor expressed the difficulty of finding positives in such a cruel series of events, describing his aunt as 'good to her core'. He added: 'Grief is the price we pay for love. I won't stop loving, deeply. So I'll have to accept the deep pain of grieving.'
Farrar's post was met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow EastEnders cast members, including Clair Norris, Balvinder Sopal, Diane Parish, and Patsy Palmer. They sent love and strength to the actor and his family during this difficult time.
James Farrar joined EastEnders in 2021 as Zack Hudson, the long-lost half-brother of Sharon Watts. He previously appeared in Hollyoaks as Liam Gilmore. He married Ali Roff Farrar in 2017, and the couple welcomed daughter Summer in 2021.
