Freddie Brazier, the 20-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, has revealed he has been sectioned and entered rehab after experiencing manic episodes. In a candid interview on the Load Of Old Cobblers podcast, Freddie said: 'I've been smoking since I was 12, I've been to rehab, I've had manic episodes, I've been sectioned.' He described the past few years as a 'tough' journey.
Freddie's older brother, Bobby Brazier, 22, commented on his sibling's struggles, describing him as a 'good boy' who still needs to mature. Bobby told The Sun on Sunday: 'Freddy's very sensitive and wants to please. And when he grows up a little bit that will serve him well.' He added that there are things he dislikes about Freddy, but he looks up to him in many ways.
The brothers lost their mother, Jade Goody, to cervical cancer in 2009. Their father, Jeff Brazier, spoke about the lasting impact of her death, saying: 'To lose the mother of your children is a huge trauma that, of course, shapes your life. It's not just about missing her – we need her as a mother at the moment and we always have done in all honesty.'
