Gordon Ramsay's Blunt Message to Brooklyn Beckham in Family Dispute
Gordon Ramsay has publicly defended David and Victoria Beckham as he weighed in on the ongoing fallout with their son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, delivering a stark five-word message to the 26-year-old.
Ramsay's Candid Comments on the Beckham Family Rift
The celebrity chef revealed to the Sun newspaper that he "loves" the Beckhams' eldest son, describing Brooklyn as having an "incredible" heart. However, Ramsay emphasised that Brooklyn must recognise he won't always have his parents around, urging him to "remember where you came from."
Ramsay commented: "I love him, his heart is incredible, but it's hard, isn't it? I think when you're infatuated, you know, love is blind. They say it for that reason, and so, you know, he's desperate to stand on his own two feet. He's desperate to forge his own way. And I respect that from Brooklyn, and that's such a good thing to do. But remember where you came from, and honestly, one day you're not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that."
Background of the Beckham Family Feud
Brooklyn confirmed via social media that he has no desire to "reconcile" with his family, breaking his silence on rumours of a breakdown between the aspiring chef, his wife Nicola Peltz, and the Beckham clan. In a bombshell statement last month, Brooklyn claimed his parents had placed "Brand Beckham" above everything else and manipulated media narratives.
He insisted Sir David and Lady Victoria had attempted "endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped." Brooklyn further alleged his wife had suffered "disrespect" from his family, and made claims about his mother's behaviour at events.
Ramsay's Defence of the Beckhams
Ramsay described Sir David and Lady Beckham's bond with their son as "solid," stating: "I've seen, Tana's (Ramsay's wife) seen, first hand just how good parents they are, and David as a dad is just incredible." Discussing the Beckham-Peltz wedding, Ramsay said: "There was nothing salacious, there was nothing inappropriate. Everyone was having fun, having a dance."
The Ramsays and the Beckhams share a close friendship, with Sir David and Lady Beckham attending Ramsay's daughter Holly's wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty last December.
Ramsay's Own Family Experiences
The 59-year-old chef knows all about family disputes himself following his daughter's marriage to Peaty. The Daily Mail reported that tensions between the Ramsays and Peatys intensified after Peaty's mother Caroline wasn't invited to the bride's hen do. When asked about reports that Peaty's family have branded Ramsay a bully, he responded: "Families fall out, right? But don't add fuel to the fire and just show a little bit of decorum, because it's not about the mum or dad."
Ramsay's intervention adds a new dimension to the public spat, highlighting the complexities of family relationships in the spotlight.
