Katherine Ryan Says She Has Never Exercised Due to 'Threat of Male Violence'

Katherine Ryan has revealed that she has never exercised in her life, citing the 'threat of male violence' as the reason. The 41-year-old comedian made the comments at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in London, where she also criticised sexual predators, celebrity Ozempic users, and the Sean 'Diddy' Combs sexual assault case.

Speaking at the event, Ryan said: 'I, myself, haven't exercised once in over 40 years, due to the threat of male violence.' She added: 'Also, I don't want to. Can't I just be a feminist who steals medication from Type 2 diabetics to transform myself into Christina Aguilera?' This was a reference to rumours that the singer has been using the weight-loss drug Ozempic.

Ryan also addressed the case of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. She said: 'In a single year in the UK, 800,000 women have been victims of sexual assault. Surely P Diddy doesn't have that kind of reach on the Internet?'

The comedian previously claimed there is a 'dangerous male comic' working in British showbusiness. During her speech, she revealed that several men she had worked with contacted her after the claim, seeking reassurance that she was not referring to them. She said she replied to each with the same message: 'Do you really think you should be texting me after everything that happened between us?'

Ryan said she had wrestled with the decision to work with the alleged perpetrator, but eventually accepted the gig. She described making comments to him such as: 'I'm not getting paid enough to be here, especially for how many times my face will be on the news when your victims come forward.' She noted that everyone in the industry knew about the man's behaviour, but survivors did not feel comfortable speaking out.
