Katie Price Vigorously Defends New Husband Against 'Conman' Allegations
Reality television star and model Katie Price has launched a robust defence of her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, following a wave of accusations labelling him a 'conman' and 'scam artist'. The 47-year-old mother-of-five left friends and family astonished last month when she announced her marriage to Andrews, a 42-year-old businessman from Nottingham, after knowing him for only a single week.
Swift Marriage and Immediate Backlash
The couple's surprise wedding in Dubai was swiftly followed by a series of concerning claims from Andrews' former partners on social media. One ex-girlfriend, fitness guru Alana Percival, issued a stark public warning to Price, urging her to 'run for the hills'. Percival alleged that Andrews had proposed to her in an identical manner just four months prior to his engagement to Price.
"This man had me shrinking myself, making me not want to speak up," Percival claimed in an Instagram post. "Telling me not to speak to my friends about how he acted because they all told me to leave him. He even ruined some of my friendships."
Price's Counter: Evidence of Substantial Wealth
Despite the mounting allegations and the absence of a prenuptial agreement, Katie Price remains resolute in her support. She insists she is not naive and has seen verifiable proof of Andrews' significant financial standing.
Speaking to The Sun, Price stated she has been shown copies of key documents, including Andrews' passport and a Dubai residency card. Most notably, she claims to have seen proof of purchase for a new property reportedly worth an astonishing £36 million, which was allegedly paid for in cash.
"I’m not stupid. I’ve learned now that I don’t need a man," Price declared. "I always used to need a man in my life whereas now I don’t need a man, I just want one. So yes, I can reassure everyone at home that I haven’t gone for a con man. I haven’t gone for a scammer. There was no love bombing."
Family Concerns and Ongoing Drama
The whirlwind romance and subsequent marriage have reportedly left Price's inner circle deeply concerned. Her sister, Sophie, is said to be particularly shaken by the rapid developments, though Price continues to forge ahead with characteristic determination.
In a show of commitment, Price has already had her new husband's name tattooed on her finger. She has dismissed the warnings from Andrews' exes, accusing Alana Percival of acting out of jealousy. Lee Andrews has also refuted all claims made against his character.
The controversy unfolds as the couple are reportedly set to host a new television show titled 'Couples Unfiltered', adding another layer of public scrutiny to their relationship. With social media buzzing and former partners promising 'more to come', the drama surrounding Katie Price's latest marital chapter shows no signs of abating.
