Larry Emdur has disclosed the one celebrity his wife Sylvie would permit him to have a romantic encounter with. During an appearance on the new Nova podcast Bushie, hosted by Nikki Osborne, the 61-year-old Channel Seven star admitted his wife granted him a 'hall pass' for a specific Hollywood A-lister.
The Hall Pass Revelation
Nikki asked, 'Has your missus ever given you a hall pass?' to which Larry replied flatly, 'Yes.' When Larry admitted he had never used his 'hall pass,' Nikki inquired if it was because he was in love with Sylvie. 'No, because I couldn't find it,' he joked.
Larry then revealed his celebrity hall pass was none other than 2 Fast 2 Furious star Eva Mendes, though he struggled with her name. 'Ava Mendes is very difficult to track down,' he said. Nikki responded, 'Who's Ava Mendes? Eva Mendes? You can't even get her name right. She's not going to shag you, Larry.'
Why Sylvie Approved
Larry confessed that his inability to correctly name the actress was precisely why Sylvie approved the hall pass in the first place.
Previous Romance Rumors
His frank admission comes after he recently revealed a playful romance with a Channel Seven co-star. In July last year, he took to Instagram to share a photo showing him getting up close and personal with one of his colleagues—all in good fun. Larry was recreating the viral footage of billionaire tech CEO Andrew Byron, who was caught canoodling with his company's HR chief Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert in Boston.
The affable TV veteran shared a side-by-side photo comparing the viral moment with Larry looking very comfortable alongside the Sunrise Cash Cow. Playing the part of the HR exec, Larry appeared delighted to be in the company of his bovine belle, who lovingly wrapped her hooves around his chest.
Social Media Reaction
He captioned the hilarious photo with a sincere apology to his wife of 30 years: 'Sorry, Sylvie x.' The post garnered a flurry of laughing face emojis, with many praising the former Price Is Right host's comedic timing. Influencer Suzan Mutesi wrote, 'This killed me! Too good,' while another commented, 'I hope Sylvie will forgive you considering the increase in milk prices.' The Morning Show's news presenter Sally Bowrey also offered her sympathies, writing, 'She's impossible to resist,' alongside a cow emoji.
