MasterChef Australia Star Laura Sharrad Announces Pregnancy After Miscarriage

Former MasterChef Australia star Laura Sharrad and her husband, Max Sharrad, have announced they are expecting a baby, due in April 2024. The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting images of Laura's bump and an ultrasound, describing the baby as 'our little miracle'.

The announcement comes less than a year after Laura revealed she had suffered a miscarriage. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared her heartache and expressed hope for the future, saying she and Max were 'feeling very positive' and 'cannot wait to be parents'.

Laura, who runs Nido Bar and Pasta restaurant in Adelaide with Max, held a baby shower at the weekend, posting pictures of the event. Guests enjoyed sushi, sandwiches and ribs at a table set under umbrellas. Another party took place the previous week at Lost Phoenix Farm in South Australia.

Laura and Max married in 2018, three years after meeting as colleagues at the Orana restaurant in Adelaide, owned by the late Jock Zonfrillo. Laura narrowly missed out on winning MasterChef: Back to Win in 2020, placing second to Emelia Jackson, but was awarded $30,000 to help grow her business.
