Maura Higgins has revealed that she routinely goes through a new partner's phone within the first week of dating, citing 'serious trust issues' developed from past relationships. The 35-year-old Love Island star, currently appearing on The Traitors US, described herself as an 'investigator' when it comes to romance.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, Higgins said: 'If I'm dating you and it's only a week in, I've already gone through your phone. I've turned into a bit of an investigator because men have done me dirty.' She acknowledged that snooping is 'not okay' but insisted she would do it again.
The reality TV personality has had several high-profile relationships, including with Curtis Pritchard, Chris Taylor, Giovanni Pernice, and stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton. Last year, she publicly accused ex-boyfriend Pete Wicks of infidelity after finding messages on his phone, though sources close to Wicks denied the claims.
Higgins is currently generating romance speculation with her Traitors US co-star Rob Rauch, 27. When asked about the rumours on Watch What Happens Live, she teased: 'You'll have to watch the show to see if that happened.' She also named Rauch as the cast member she would take to the Love Island hideaway.
