Olivia Wilde has spoken candidly about her past relationship with Harry Styles, revealing that the public backlash over their 10-year age gap left her stunned. The actress and director, 42, dated the former One Direction star, now 32, between 2020 and 2022, after he starred in her film Don't Worry Darling.
In an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Wilde said: 'It really did upset people. It was crazy. I don't know how much I understand it yet. People were f**king p**sed.' She described the public reaction as 'parasocial' but insisted the relationship itself was 'so beautiful' and 'very domestic and kind and lovely'.
Wilde, who shares two children with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, added that she and Styles 'existed in this little bubble' where outside judgement never intruded. She previously told Vogue that it was 'tempting to correct a false narrative' but that true happiness meant ignoring strangers' opinions.
The revelations come as Styles is rumoured to be engaged to actress Zoe Kravitz, 37. The pair were first linked in August 2025, and in April 2026 Kravitz was seen wearing a diamond ring while kissing Styles in London. A source confirmed to People that the couple have shared the news with a 'small circle' of friends.
Kravitz joined Styles' mother Anne at his Wembley Stadium shows, where he is on track to break records for the most performances by any artist in a single year at the venue. During a recent intimate gig at the Royal Festival Hall, Styles was seen gazing at Kravitz and giving her a small salute.
