Princess Beatrice Dances on Table at Party Amid Wedding Mystery

Princess Beatrice has been seen letting her hair down at a friend's birthday party in Italy, just days before her royal cousin Peter Phillips is set to marry, as speculation continues over whether she will attend the wedding.

Party in Italy

The mother of two appeared in several Instagram posts shared by her friend Lauren De Niro Pipher, founder of Juliet Wine, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday. The festivities took place at the La Posta Vecchia hotel in Palo Laziale, Rome, with photos showing a large group enjoying the celebrations.

In one snapshot, Beatrice is seen posing with other women in a Vampire's Wife dress, while others show her in a floral Zimmerman dress, dancing on a table with friends.

De Niro Pipher wrote on Instagram: "Friends joined from five countries. Some knew each other, many didn't. No drama, no early mornings, barely any phones except to capture moments. Just presence, great wine, pasta at every meal, and more laughter than I can account for."

She added: "I planned it all, and yet I felt like a guest at my own party. It was more special and fun than I could have imagined, and I will cherish these days and the people who were able to join me for the next 40 years."

Royal Wedding Uncertainty

Beatrice has kept a low profile in recent months following the release of the Epstein files, which shed new light on her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and their association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

It remains unclear whether she or her younger sister Princess Eugenie, who is pregnant with her third child, will attend the wedding of Peter Phillips on Saturday. Peter, the son of Princess Anne and a nephew of King Charles, is set to marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in Gloucestershire.

Many senior royals, including the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales, are expected to attend. If Beatrice and Eugenie do attend, it would mark their first public appearance with royal relatives since the Epstein files were released in January.

A source previously said that Beatrice and Eugenie would "never want to overshadow the bride and groom's happy day" and are still undecided about attending the private nuptials. The source added that their attendance was "never concrete."

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling

Peter Phillips, 48, is 19th in line to the throne. He was previously married to Autumn Kelly, with whom he has two daughters, Isla and Savannah. He also dated long-term partner Lindsay Wallace before they split in 2024. He later found love with Harriet, an NHS paediatric nurse who has a teenage daughter named Georgia.

The summer wedding will take place on Saturday at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester. The couple first appeared together in the summer of 2024 at the Badminton Horse Trials, where Harriet mingled with Princess Anne, Zara Tindall, and Queen Camilla.

Last June, they attended Royal Ascot together, where Harriet made her debut in one of the carriages during the royal procession, a move seen as a significant sign of her acceptance into the royal fold. Just weeks later, the pair announced their engagement after Peter proposed with a stunning diamond ring designed by the same jeweller who made the late Queen's engagement ring.

Peter married his first wife, Autumn, in May 2008 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with guests including the late Queen and Prince Philip, as well as his cousin Prince Harry. Although Prince William was unable to attend, the then-Kate Middleton was invited despite being unmarried at the time, and it is believed that wedding marked the first time she met the late Queen.
