Former Formula One star Ralf Schumacher tied the knot with Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne in a glitzy ceremony in St Tropez on Saturday. The event was filmed as part of their new documentary series.
Wedding Details
The couple, dressed in navy blue suits with light blue ties, wed in the stunning French coastal town, kicking off what was billed as a three-day celebration. Schumacher, 50, and Etienne, 36, own a home nearby and were a picture of happiness as they celebrated in front of loved ones.
Documentary Series
Cameras from Sky and Wow were present to film the wedding for the four-part series 'Ralf & Etienne: Wir sagen Ja (We say Yes)'. The series is already airing, with the season finale wedding episode due to be broadcast later this week. It is expected to include coverage of Bousquet-Cassagne having a facelift ahead of the ceremony, a procedure he was keen on despite his partner's reservations.
Family Reactions
Schumacher's ex-wife Cora sent a heartfelt message in February after reports of the remarriage, 19 months after he came out as gay. The pair were married for 13 years and share a son, David. Their relationship soured after Schumacher revealed his same-sex relationship, leading to a bitter feud. However, Cora said she and her new partner Steven Bo Bekendam were happy for the couple, wishing them all the best.
Schumacher's brother Michael, the seven-time F1 world champion, remains wheelchair-bound after a skiing accident in 2013.
