Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have officially tied the knot during a private ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. The pop star, 30, and the actor, 36, are now set to host a more extravagant three-day wedding celebration in Sicily starting Thursday, June 4.
Intimate Ceremony in London
The newlyweds were seen leaving the registry office surrounded by friends and family who showered them with confetti. Lipa wore a wide-brimmed white hat and a Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit designed by American designer Daniel Roseberry, featuring a tailored ivory blazer and a matching asymmetric skirt. Turner opted for a dark navy suit with a matching shirt and tie. The Marylebone registry office has a history of hosting celebrity weddings, including those of Sir Paul McCartney and Liam Gallagher.
Plans for a Lavish Celebration
According to The Sun, Lipa and Turner will now travel to Sicily for a three-day event. “They have rented out multiple huge venues for the multi-event extravaganza,” a source told the publication. Guests reportedly include Charli XCX and Sir Elton John. Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, founder of fashion label Jacquemus, has allegedly created one of the dresses Lipa will wear during the festivities.
The couple have been engaged since December 2024, with Lipa announcing the news through a festive Instagram post showcasing her engagement ring.
Their Relationship Journey
Rumours of a romance first surfaced in January 2024 when the pair attended a Masters of the Air party in London, following Turner's role in the Apple TV+ series. Before going public, Lipa spoke about rebuilding her confidence after past relationships. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she said: “In terms of relationships, I needed to get to this place in order to find what I really needed. You have to be in the act of forgiveness and growing and learning, and being okay with the past in order to move on with what’s to come next.” She added: “I think with every relationship, with every experience you learn about yourself, you learn about things that are hurtful to you, what you expect, what you should be ready to give as well.”
The couple went public later in the year and were spotted hand-in-hand at Glastonbury festival after Lipa headlined the Pyramid Stage. In October 2024, Turner revealed that he and Lipa live by the rule “it’s never not worth it” to travel long distances to see each other.
