Meghan and Harry Set for TV Comeback with Cooking Show

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be set for a bombshell TV return. An insider told Express.co.uk that the couple has been approached to feature in a long-running hospitality competition, which is tipped to be the focus of a cooking show showcasing young talent trying to make their name in the competitive hospitality industry.

New Show Details

The show will be based on YYY (Young Chef, Young Waiter, Young Mixologist), a worldwide competition that started in 1979 and is led by renowned restaurateur Robert Walton MBE. The source said: "After With Love, Meghan, it is clear that Meghan and Harry are very passionate about food and cooking, and people behind the scenes think their insight would be a great addition."

In 2024, Young Chef Young Waiter and Young Mixologist USA had winners from Napa and Malibu, and bosses think Meghan and Harry, who live in Montecito, could be a great pair to take part.

Potential Next MasterChef

The insider added: "It's a show that could be the next MasterChef, and will show the real and raw behind-the-scenes of chefs working hard in the kitchen. They're taking the competition back to the US and are very keen to get Harry and Meghan to join them on the Stateside adventure. It's all very early days, but it could be a very exciting move for them."

The show is currently filming and is in talks with several major streaming services. Meghan's love of food was a highlight of her Netflix series, which showed her cooking with famous faces like Mindy Kaling and her Suits co-star. Her mother Doria and Harry also appeared.

Netflix Exit

With Love, Meghan aired for two series and a Christmas special before it was announced there were no plans to film more. A spokesperson for As Ever said: "As Ever is grateful for Netflix's partnership through launch and our first year. We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth, and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can't wait to share more."

The couple has since announced they are making a film based on the true story of British troops under siege during the Afghanistan war. Their production company Archewell is developing a feature film for Netflix based on the book No Way Out by Major Adam Jowett.
