Worshippers at a Catholic church in Las Vegas believe they witnessed a miraculous event during a holiday service, after a mysterious face-like image appeared near the altar.
A Divine Sighting on a Feast Day
The extraordinary event took place on Thursday 12 December, which is celebrated in the Catholic Church as Our Lady of Guadalupe Day. The mass was held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Las Vegas. According to multiple parishioners, a figure resembling a face became visible in the folds of a fabric within the church sanctuary.
Attendees quickly reached for their mobile phones to document what they were seeing. The resulting photographs show a distinct, face-like pattern formed by the wrinkles in the material. The timing, coinciding with the significant feast day, led many to interpret it as a purposeful sign.
‘Our Lady Was Sending a Message’
The church's pastor, Father Edmund Nnadozie, described his own reaction to the phenomenon. "I looked at it, I'm like, 'Oh, wait a minute,'" he recounted. "I looked at it again, and that was the face of, you know, it's Our Lady."
He further suggested the vision was a communication. "I think maybe Our Lady was sending a message to us, 'Hey, I'm still around, I know today is a celebration of my day, and I can still show myself.'"
A Community United by Wonder
For the congregation, the experience has been a source of profound comfort and unity. Parishioner Ben Yzaguirre was among those who considered the event a genuine miracle and a sign from heaven.
The shared experience has strengthened the community's sense of togetherness, offering spiritual reassurance during the holiday season. The incident has sparked conversations about faith and the divine within the local parish, turning a regular holiday service into what many are calling an unforgettable moment of shared wonder.
