BTS have revealed that their highly anticipated new album will be called 'ARIRANG', sharing the name with a traditional Korean folk song. The record, due for release on March 20, follows 2020's 'Be' and is expected to explore themes of connection, distance, and reunion.
The band confirmed the album title in a press release, stating that 'ARIRANG' will draw on the emotional depth of the folk song, delving into yearning and life's journeys. The album aims to balance deeply personal and universally relatable themes, including love and longing.
Alongside the album announcement, BTS unveiled details of a massive world tour spanning 2026 and 2027. The tour will cover 34 regions with 79 live shows, starting in April with concerts in Goyang, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan. UK fans can catch two shows in London on July 6 and 7, 2026.
The tour will also visit North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. Tickets go on sale on January 24. This marks BTS's first full-group activity since completing mandatory military service in July 2024, following a hiatus for solo projects.
