Ex-Girlfriend Fuels Beckham Family Drama with Paparazzi Claims

In a startling development within the ongoing Beckham family rift, Brooklyn Beckham's former girlfriend has made veiled suggestions that his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, may have been involved in tipping off paparazzi about his whereabouts during their relationship.

Afton McKeith, who attended sixth form with Brooklyn in 2017 and shared a brief romance with him, spoke to ITV News this week, adding her perspective to the very public family dispute that erupted last week when the 26-year-old eldest Beckham son declared he had no wish to reconcile with his parents.

"Someone Would've Been Organising That"

McKeith, the daughter of television personality Gillian McKeith, described witnessing Brooklyn's distress during their time together. "I could see that he would get visibly distressed and anxious," she stated, before turning her attention to the persistent media presence.

"I do know that there were paparazzi every single, like, pretty much every day," McKeith revealed. "And somebody would've been organising that, who knew his schedule inside out because it's not like random."

When pressed on who she believed that "someone" might be, McKeith declined to name names but offered a pointed implication. "I won't say who I think it was, but I have an idea in my mind. I'm not going to implicate anybody," she said, before elaborating that it was not someone from their school.

"I think it was someone who knew his schedule from start to finish, of his day inside out, everywhere he went, what break he would've had," she continued. "So, you can think about who that might be that would know that."

Asked directly if she was referring to his parents, Afton McKeith refused to comment further, reportedly sharing a knowing look with the interviewer.

Support for Brooklyn's Public Statement

McKeith also voiced support for Brooklyn's decision to break his silence publicly last week. She suggested he had been burdened by a false narrative in the press, particularly regarding his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

"I think that Brooklyn made the right decision in coming out with a statement, because after many years, of what I think is a false narrative about Brooklyn and Nicola portrayed in the press publicly, it can become overwhelming and stressful to have an inaccurate narrative of yourself put out in the press constantly," she explained.

She concluded with a reflection on parenting in the public eye: "And so, it became too much for him. I think doing the best for your children is protecting your children. And putting your children in the public eye is very exposing."

Wedding Planner Also Weighs In

The family drama has drawn commentary from other figures connected to Brooklyn and Nicola. Preston Bailey, the couple's initial wedding planner for their lavish 2022 nuptials, expressed surprise at Brooklyn's public stance against his parents.

Speaking to Page Six, Bailey, who was later replaced in the planning role, said, "It surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents. That's not the Brooklyn I met... He was just a nice, regular person who would say hello and chit chat."

Bailey recalled a collaborative dynamic during the planning stages, contradicting media portrayals of Nicola as a difficult bride. "I don't remember her being bossy. I remember a lot of affection between them. Whatever design was done was presented to Nicola, but it was important for her to have Brooklyn approve it. She wasn't going to do anything without his approval," he stated.

The $3.5 million wedding at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, was a star-studded affair but was later marred by legal disputes between the Peltz family and the subsequent wedding planners, adding another layer of complexity to the public perception of the couple.

Afton McKeith's latest comments inject fresh speculation into the Beckham family feud, raising uncomfortable questions about the orchestration of media attention and the pressures of growing up within one of Britain's most famous dynasties.
