Made In Chelsea Star Nicola Hughes 'Devastated' After Losing Diamond Wedding Ring
Nicola Hughes loses diamond wedding ring in London

Former Made In Chelsea star Nicola Hughes has issued a heartfelt public appeal after suffering a devastating personal loss in the heart of London. The 35-year-old influencer revealed she is 'devastated' after misplacing her diamond wedding ring and other precious jewellery.

An Emotional Plea on Social Media

Nicola took to Instagram last week to share the distressing news with her followers. She explained that the sentimental rings were lost while she was alighting from a black cab in the Paddington area. Posting a poignant photograph of her hand adorned with the jewellery prior to the loss, she expressed her struggle to accept the situation.

'Last week I lost my rings and my wedding band in London, Paddington, getting out of a black cab,' she wrote in the caption. 'I hoped by now that someone would have contacted me to tell me they found them, but that hasn’t happened.'

The Irish television personality, who married recruitment executive Charlie Tupper in 2021, added: ‘I’m devastated to say the least. I’ve barely told anyone what happened because I just can’t accept it, but they hold so much sentimental value that this is my last resort.' In a direct appeal, she stated: 'If by any chance you or anyone you know found them, I will pay to have them back.'

A Difficult Time for the Young Family

The loss is particularly poignant for Nicola and her family, as they welcomed their second child, a son named Seve, just six months ago in June. The couple are also parents to a three-year-old daughter, Penelope.

Nicola first found fame in 2015 when she joined the cast of E4's Made In Chelsea as the girlfriend of Alex Mytton. She left the show the following year after their relationship ended. Since stepping away from reality TV, she has built a successful career as a fashion and lifestyle influencer, sharing her family life with a loyal online audience.

A Lavish Wedding Against the Odds

Nicola and Charlie's relationship, which began in 2018 after meeting through friends, culminated in a lavish wedding at Botleys Mansion in Surrey in August 2021. The couple had to reorganise their original three-day destination wedding plans due to Covid-19 restrictions, pulling together a glamorous celebration in just six weeks without a wedding planner.

The event was attended by former Made In Chelsea co-stars and friends, including Lucy and Tiffany Watson as bridesmaids and Lottie Moss as a guest. In past interviews, Nicola has often praised her husband for being 'very normal' and removed from the showbiz world, highlighting his career running a recruitment company in the city.

For now, the family remains hopeful that someone will come forward with the missing jewellery, which holds irreplaceable sentimental value far beyond its monetary worth.
