Shanna Moakler Alleges Steven Seagal Manipulated Her During 1990s Audition
Former model and reality television personality Shanna Moakler has come forward with fresh accusations of sexual misconduct against actor Steven Seagal, alleging he manipulated her into a compromising situation when she was just 18 years old. Moakler, now 50, detailed the alleged incident during the debut episode of The Wicked Awesome Podcast with Claudia Jordan, which was released this week.
"He Felt My 18-Year-Old Little Boobies"
Moakler claimed that Seagal, now 73, baited her into his Los Angeles home with promises of an audition for one of his films. According to her account, the actor, who was approximately 41 at the time, suggested he could help with back problems she was experiencing by administering acupuncture.
"That man felt my boobies - my 18-year-old little boobies - that's disgusting," Moakler stated during the podcast interview. "That I think is the most frustrating thing for me is how many people just prey on the hopes and dreams of young girls."
She described how Seagal allegedly asked her to remove her top and lie on a bed, claiming he would perform acupuncture before transitioning to giving her a massage while she remained topless. Moakler said she felt incredibly uncomfortable throughout the encounter.
Pattern of Allegations Against Seagal
Moakler's accusations join a growing list of sexual misconduct allegations against the action film star. Several other prominent actresses have previously come forward with similar stories:
- Jenny McCarthy alleged Seagal tried to get her to remove her dress during a 1995 audition
- Julianna Margulies claimed he ensured she saw his gun during a hotel meeting
- Portia de Rossi said he unzipped his leather pants during what she thought was a final audition
- Eva LaRue has also accused Seagal of sexual misconduct
- Rachel Grant alleged he forcibly pulled down her top during a 2002 film production
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Seagal and Moakler for comment but has yet to receive a response regarding these latest allegations.
Context and Aftermath
Moakler was 18 in 1993 when the alleged incident occurred, while Seagal was married to model Kelly LeBrock at the time. She expressed particular anger about how Seagal allegedly exploited her Hollywood ambitions, stating: "It pisses me off Claudia so much because this is where it's so disgusting, like you're just f***ing with someone's dream."
Despite multiple accusations spanning decades, Seagal has never been charged with any crime related to these allegations. In 2018, Los Angeles prosecutors declined to pursue charges in two separate cases due to California's statute of limitations.
Seagal, who gained Russian citizenship in 2016 and has since become a vocal supporter of President Vladimir Putin, received the Order of Friendship from the Russian leader in May 2024. The actor has largely left his Hollywood career behind, with recent reports indicating significant weight gain since relocating to Russia.
Moakler concluded her podcast comments with a direct message to Seagal: "You can go f*** yourself, that's what you can do." Her allegations add to the ongoing conversation about power dynamics and exploitation in the entertainment industry, particularly concerning vulnerable young hopefuls pursuing their dreams.
