Radio presenter Carrie Bickmore has sent fans into a frenzy after dropping a tantalising hint about her co-host Tommy Little's potential appearance on the hit reality series I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Instagram Post Fuels Speculation
The 45-year-old star took to Instagram on Thursday, sharing a cheerful photo of the pair posing together at what appeared to be an Adelaide 500 Supercars event. In her caption, Bickmore promoted the return of their Hit Network show, The Carrie and Tommy Show, next week.
However, it was her sign-off that truly caught attention. "I assume you are not in the jungle, @mrstommylittle," she wrote, directly referencing the popular ITV programme filmed in South Africa. This playful remark has been interpreted by many as a major clue that the comedian is one of the celebrities preparing to face the jungle's trials.
Fans Guess the Star-Studded Line-Up
Producers have already teased that the 2026 cast will include a diverse mix of personalities: a Hollywood sitcom star, an international supermodel, a rugby league Romeo, soap royalty, a master chef, an AFL A-lister, a Logie-winning actor, a reality TV bad boy, a jungle princess, a stand-up comedian, and a '90s pop star.
Regarding the stand-up comedian slot, speculation has been rife. Alongside Tommy Little, names like Sam Pang, Melanie Bracewell, and Wil Anderson have been at the top of fans' wish lists. Bickmore's social media hint has now catapulted Little to the forefront of these rumours as anticipation builds for the show's premiere on Sunday on Channel 10.
First Contestant Officially Confirmed
Amid the speculation, the first confirmed contestant was revealed this week. Former NRL player and Bachelor star Luke Bateman announced on Wednesday morning that he will be entering the jungle.
"In some very exciting news, I'll be trading the Australian outback for the African jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! which premieres this Sunday on Ten," Bateman stated. He confirmed he will be playing to win $100,000 for the rural charity Farm Angels, an organisation he said is very close to his heart.
Bateman, who rose to fame with the Canberra Raiders before appearing on The Bachelors in 2023, expressed excitement about facing hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin. "I'm very excited to see what Robert and Julia have cooked up for me," he said. "I'm sure there'll be some delectable food items and some fear-instilling trials. I can't wait."
The premiere of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is set for Sunday at 7pm on Channel 10, with the full celebrity line-up expected to be unveiled imminently.
