Reality TV star Dani Dyer faced a brutal initiation on the new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, receiving a punch to the face that left her with a bloody nose during a boxing match.
A Brutal Boxing Match on Channel 4
The 29-year-old Love Island winner and mother-of-three was pitted against Married At First Sight Australia contestant Jessika Power in a head-to-head fight during the show's first episode. Despite wearing protective headgear, the force of the blow from Power was enough to cause significant bleeding.
The match was overseen by the show's chief instructor, Mark 'Billy' Billingham, who declared Jessika Power the winner after she landed the punch square on Dyer's face. The episode is scheduled to air on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday.
Dyer's Gruelling Experience and Family Reaction
Speaking to The Mirror about her time on the intense special forces training programme, Dani Dyer described the experience as "brutal." She admitted she knew it would be challenging but found it even harder than anticipated.
"I knew it was going to be hard and I didn’t go in there thinking, ‘It’s just a TV thing,’ but it was just as hard, if not harder," Dyer said. She credited the show with making her "a lot stronger," adding that the ordeal proved she could handle anything life throws at her.
The reality star also revealed the amusing reaction of her famous father, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer. She said he thought she was "nuts" for signing up, given his own aversion to fitness. "When he does Soccer Aid, he has a fag just before he goes on the pitch," she joked. Despite his disbelief, Dyer said her dad was "really proud" of her accomplishment.
New Format with Australian Celebrities
This new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins marks a first for the programme, as it features British celebrities training alongside Australian stars. The diverse lineup of recruits includes:
- Ryan Moloney from Neighbours
- Gabby Allen from Love Island
- Rugby player Ben Cohen
- Olympic swimmers Mack Horton and Emily Seebohm
- Cricketers Brad Hodge and Graeme Swann
- Singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte
- TV presenter Axle Whitehead
- TikTok star Jack Joseph
- YouTuber Cole Anderson-James

The show promises to put all these celebrities through the most demanding physical and psychological tests, with the directing staff pushing them to their absolute limits. Dani Dyer reflected on this, noting, "With the Directing Staff, they scream and shout at you but they want to get the best out of you."
