Reality television personality Jen Affleck shared an emotional moment with her followers this weekend, becoming tearful while opening a deeply personal Christmas gift from her husband, Zac Affleck.
A Golden Unboxing Filled With Emotion
The 26-year-old star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives documented the present-opening in a video posted to both TikTok and Instagram. Set to the classic tune of Frank Sinatra's Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Jen is seen opening a card before unwrapping a large item covered in gold paper.
The gift was revealed to be the favourite costume she wore during her recent stint on the hit competition series Dancing With the Stars. The little gold dress, complete with embellished tassels, had been thoughtfully framed by Zac, complete with a commemorative plaque.
More Than Just a Dress: A Symbol of Her Journey
Visibly moved, Jen is heard asking her husband, "How did you know this one was my favourite?" Zac's response highlighted the gift's profound meaning. He explained he wanted it to represent her "postpartum journey," a nod to the fact Jen gave birth to their third child, daughter Penny, just five months ago in the summer.
The couple, who married in 2019, are also parents to four-year-old Nora and two-year-old Luca. Gazing at the framed costume, Jen gushed that it was "better" than the show's coveted Mirrorball trophy. "How are you gonna come up with a better [gift] than that?" she quipped. Zac humorously replied, "You better keep doing cool things."
Sharing Family Joy and a Peek at Baby Penny
In the sentimental clip, Jen was clad in a low-cut white blouse and light-wash jeans. The emotional moment wasn't the only family update she shared. Jen also gave her online audience a glimpse of her five-month-old daughter, Penny, posting a snapshot via Instagram Stories with the caption "I love her."
In a separate video reflection, the new mum of three said, "She's my calmest, happiest baby, and it's wild because I carried her in the darkest, most chaotic season of my life. She really was the light I needed." Jen also shared a photo of her co-star Mikayla Matthews holding baby Penny.
Jen participated in Dancing With the Stars earlier this year, where she was partnered with professional dancer Jan Ravnik. The pair ultimately finished in ninth place on the popular dance series, but the experience clearly left a lasting impression, now beautifully commemorated in her Christmas gift.
