Katie Price's son Junior insists she's 'doing great' amid weight loss concerns
Katie Price's son addresses mum's health and family feud

Katie Price's eldest son has offered a reassuring insight into the star's wellbeing, following public concern over her recent dramatic weight loss and hospitalisation.

Family Defends Katie's Health Amid Public Scrutiny

Junior Andre, 20, has moved to quell fears about his mother's condition, telling the Daily Mail that the former glamour model is "doing great" behind closed doors. His comments come just months after Katie, 47, revealed she had been hospitalised due to "dramatic" and "unexplained" weight loss, which she first addressed with fans on Snapchat in September.

The concern was reignited recently when Katie appeared to need assistance from friends while navigating a staircase at a store launch in Hertfordshire. Despite this, Junior insists the family is in the best place it has ever been. "People don't know her like we know her," he said exclusively. "She is doing great, she's so loving, and we love her so much."

Junior also referenced his mother's recent pledge to quit vaping in the New Year, a decision influenced by learning of its links to lung disease and her own mother Amy's battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Navigating Christmas and a Public Family Feud

With the festive season approaching, Junior detailed his plans to split time between both parents. He will spend Christmas Eve with his father, singer Peter Andre, 52, stepmother Emily, and their children, before heading to his mother's home on Christmas Day afternoon.

He will also celebrate with his siblings, including Harvey, 23, and Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11. Junior stressed that his parents' long-running feud has not damaged his own relationships. This feud peaked earlier this year when Katie accused Pete of "banning" her from filming scenes with their daughter Princess, 18, for the ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries.

"My parents are my parents and I'm their child," Junior stated. "Luckily, I have a loving and strong relationship with both of them, which is great. Not everyone has that."

Stepping into the Spotlight on 'The Princess Diaries'

Junior's role is set to expand in the upcoming second and third series of The Princess Diaries, following the revelation that Peter and Emily Andre will no longer appear. This came after the fallout from Katie's public criticisms.

"We are sharing more of our bond," Junior explained about the new series. "This series we show a little bit more of my life too... It's mainly around Princess, and what she's doing. But we show our loving relationship."

Now living independently with his long-term girlfriend Jasmine, Junior admitted that adult life has been a reality check. "Life really slaps you in the face when you turn 18," he said, discussing the challenges of managing finances and responsibilities.

Looking ahead, Junior is preparing to host the UK Top Influencer Awards in Newcastle on May 6, 2026, with Jasmine by his side. He sees it as a step towards more presenting work, a career path he is keen to pursue.
