Love Island All Stars viewers are convinced that contestant Sean Stone is secretly "terrified" of his budding romantic partner, Belle Hassan, after a telling moment during a tense confrontation on Monday night's episode.
The Tense Villa Confrontation
The drama unfolded after 32-year-old Sean, a returning islander, confided to fellow contestant Tommy that he would have preferred to be coupled up with Helena rather than Belle. This conversation was soon revealed to Belle, who did not hesitate to confront Sean directly.
Belle asked Sean pointedly, "Do you feel like you've missed out anything from our conversation?" to which he quietly replied, "No..." She then laid out exactly what he had said to Tommy, raging, "Don't tell me one thing and then another thing to others, that's all I'm saying!"
Viewers quickly noticed that Sean struggled to maintain eye contact with Belle throughout the exchange. As he looked away, Belle added, "You're not really saying much babe," highlighting the palpable awkwardness.
Social Media Reacts to Sean's 'Fear'
The moment did not go unnoticed by the show's dedicated fanbase, who took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to share their observations. The consensus was clear: Sean appeared to be scared of Belle's reaction.
One fan wrote, "Sean s******g it because he knows Belle can kick off bigger than she did with him!" Another simply stated, "He can't even look at her #loveislandallstars!"
Referencing Belle's famously fiery reputation from her original series five appearance, a third viewer commented, "Sean has definitely watched this scene & is terrified of Belle!" A fourth added humorously, "sean is so scared of belle he's pulling her to double check if it's okay that he fancies samie LOOOL!"
Another fan pointed out Sean's apparent lack of preparation, writing, "Did Sean not even watch Belle's season because why is the guy so scared to look her in the eye... Belle is a roadman she is from south London!"
All Stars Launch and Initial Couplings
The All Stars series launched on ITV2 and ITVX on Thursday, 18 January 2026, after a brief delay. The first episode saw 12 former islanders, including series seven's Millie Court and series nine's Shaq Muhammad, return to the South African villa for another chance at love.
Following initial flirtations and a kissing ice-breaker game, host Maya Jama revealed the results of the first public vote, which determined the initial couples. Sean and Belle were paired together, alongside other couples including Jack with Whitney, Tommy with Jess, Shaq with Leanne, and Ciaran with Millie.
The series' start was postponed for several days due to safety concerns after production was evacuated because of wildfires in South Africa. ITV confirmed the show would return to screens on Wednesday, 17 January, after assessing the location site.
Love Island: All Stars airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
