Love Island Star's Sister Defends Couple Against 'Fake' Claims
Love Island Star's Sister Hits Back at 'Ex-Girlfriend' Claims

Katie Fitzgerald, the sister of Love Island 2026 contestant Sean Fitzgerald, has spoken out to defend her brother's relationship with Lola Deal, addressing speculation from viewers about the couple's authenticity. In an interview with Newstalk, Katie dismissed claims circulating on social media about Sean's alleged former partners, stating that these women were not genuine ex-girlfriends but merely dates.

Sean and Lola: The Strongest Couple?

Sean, an Irish GAA footballer, and Lola, a detective, have been coupled up since the first episode of the 13th series of ITV's popular dating show. They are the only pair to have remained together from day one, leading fans to dub them frontrunners to win. Despite challenges, including a bombshell arrival asking Sean on a date, he remained focused on Lola. In a recent Heartrate Challenge, Lola's pulse was most elevated by Sean, though Sean's was quickened by another girl, surprising viewers.

Family Support and Authenticity

Katie revealed that she and their parents initially felt anxious watching Sean on the show but have been reassured by his genuine behavior. She said, "He is just being himself, like he's not the type of person to go around and just kiss all the different girls. I love Lola. I love her so much. My parents love her. I think she's good." Katie also expressed hope that Lola would come out of her shell in upcoming episodes, adding, "I think she might calm Sean down a bit sometimes because he's a bit mad."
