MAFS UK's Rebecca Fenney confirms romance with Liverpool FC's Lily Woodham
MAFS UK star Rebecca Fenney finds love with footballer

Former Married at First Sight UK contestant Rebecca Fenney has offered fans a glimpse into her blossoming new relationship with Liverpool FC footballer Lily Woodham. The couple were spotted enjoying a romantic day out in Barry Island, just weeks after Fenney first confirmed the romance.

From MAFS Heartbreak to New Love

Rebecca Fenney, the 32-year-old aesthetics nurse and clinic owner from Liverpool, saw her televised marriage to brewery owner Bailey Smith end after the show's reunion episode aired. Despite pledging to move south to be with him and his young daughter during the emotional finale, the pair confirmed their split shortly after filming wrapped.

Fenney had originally joined the Channel 4 social experiment stating she was looking for an 'Alpha' partner. She was matched with father-of-one Bailey, and although their connection grew during their honeymoon, it ultimately could not survive off-screen.

A Romantic Barry Island Excursion

On Sunday 28 December, the new couple were pictured on a day trip to the iconic Welsh resort of Barry Island. They visited locations famous from the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, braving the chilly weather to pose on the beach and beside a large promotional poster for the show.

Fenney shared snaps on Instagram with her 25-year-old girlfriend, Welsh international Lily Woodham, who plays for Liverpool FC and hails from Cardiff. Captioning the images, Rebecca gushed: "What an absolutely gorgeous day in Barrybados.." The outing was also enjoyed with a group of friends.

Embracing an Unexpected Connection

Fenney first hinted at a "new love" earlier in December, before revealing Woodham's identity in a TikTok video posted on 18 December. In the clip, she reflected on the surprise of the relationship, saying it had made her question everything she thought she knew about herself.

"In your thirties a girl will come into your life when you least expect it," she shared. "You'll question everything you've ever known about yourself. Who you are, what you are, how this feels so right? It's important you don't try and fight it. Let love in."

This relationship marks Fenney's first publicly confirmed same-sex romance, signalling a fresh chapter for the reality TV star following her MAFS UK journey.
