MAFS UK's Davide Says Split 'Cracked Him Open' After Finding Ex on Dating App
MAFS UK's Davide reveals heartbreak after split from Kaye

In a raw and emotional end-of-year reflection, Married At First Sight UK star Davide has publicly addressed the painful breakdown of his marriage to fellow contestant Kaye, stating the experience "cracked him open".

The Instagram Post That Said It All

The former flight attendant, now a content creator, shared a poignant highlight reel to his Instagram, marking a turbulent 2025. He emotionally wrote: '2025 cracked me open. Not to destroy me, to show me what needed to go.' Davide, who was matched with 33-year-old marketing manager Kaye on the hit Channel 4 show, detailed the private fallout from their very public split.

He described walking through "heartbreak, public opinions, private battles and moments where I had to be my own safe place". The reality star admitted there were "days I didn't recognise myself" and nights where he vowed never to abandon himself again.

The Discovery That Ended The Marriage

Despite choosing to stay together in the programme's final commitment ceremony, the couple's relationship unravelled in the real world. The split was announced in November 2025. Davide revealed to The Sun that a gut feeling led him to create a profile on the gay dating app Grindr while working away as cabin crew.

His suspicions were confirmed when he found Kaye's profile on the app. "Out of my own insecurity I created a profile on Grindr to check whether Keye was on the app only to find that my gut feeling was correct," Davide explained. "That's why when it was broken, it was something I simply could not overcome."

Moving On and Trading Barbs

In his reflective post, Davide stated he had found a new, healthier kind of love, describing it as "the calm kind, the healthy kind, the 'you don't have to earn this' kind". He concluded that the year gave him "clarity, confidence, a backbone" and a heart that remains soft.

This public swipe follows recent social media tension between the ex-couple. After Davide appeared to soft-launch a new boyfriend in a jacuzzi video in December, Kaye hit back on his Instagram Story. He shared a post implying the person who moves on first often initiated the split, "using new partners or distractions to avoid pain".

Davide's journey from a televised wedding to a painful split and his path to self-discovery underscores the complex reality behind reality TV romances. Married At First Sight UK is available to stream on Channel 4.
