Television presenter Maya Jama has shared a glamorous mirror selfie as she prepares to jet off to South Africa to host the highly anticipated second series of Love Island: All Stars. The 31-year-old star, who recently enjoyed her first Christmas with Manchester City footballer boyfriend Ruben Dias, looked incredible in a casual ensemble, flashing her toned midriff.
Sunshine and Suitcases: Maya's South African Adventure
In the social media post, Maya pouted for the camera with a glass of wine in hand, revealing her suitcase was packed and she was ready to fly to Cape Town on Monday. She penned a heartfelt message to her followers, reflecting on a peaceful end to the year before switching to work mode. "Had a beautiful end to the year, surrounded by love, happiness and peace," she wrote. "Off to South Africa tomorrow and it's back to werkkkk, the sunshine and my wholesome bike rides. So excited and ready."
While Maya heads for the sun, her partner, 28-year-old Ruben Dias, is expected to remain in the UK due to Manchester City's demanding Premier League fixture schedule, making a trip to the villa unlikely.
Unfinished Business: The All Stars Mystery Unfolds
The new series, which kicks off on ITV2 on January 11, will see former Islanders return to the villa for a second shot at love. In a clever promotional clip released days earlier, Maya teased the show's return, adopting a detective role in a leather trench coat. She directly addressed the audience, saying, "I know you're all over every drop of tea from the Love Island villa... you're the perfect people to work out whose coming back for more."
She encouraged fans to play along, adding, "We've got the clues, they've got the motive - so who's got unfinished business?" ITV has hinted that the returning cast will have plenty of loose ends to tie up, spanning love, friendships, bromances, and even revenge.
Rumours Swirl Around Potential All Stars Cast
The announcement has fuelled intense speculation about which former Islanders will return. One strong contender appears to be Teddy Soares, who shot to fame on the 2021 series. The 31-year-old podcaster recently posted a cryptic TikTok from a tropical holiday, wearing an unbuttoned black shirt and writing, "Might be single for the holidays. Won't be sober though."
Fans were quick to connect the dots, with one commenting on the timing, "All Stars in three weeks." Teddy finished in third place on his series with then-girlfriend Faye Winter, but the couple split in early 2023 after a year-and-a-half together.
In a March interview, Faye, 30, revealed she had been celibate for two years following the split to "find herself again," though she has since said she's "had some great sex" but isn't seeking a serious relationship. She also reflected that she and Teddy "stayed together longer than we should have," and she felt "lonely" and "vulnerable" at the relationship's end.
Rumours of trouble in the paradise were fanned last year when Teddy discussed messaging another person while in a relationship during his podcast, though he did not name Faye specifically. As the countdown to the new series begins, all eyes are on Maya Jama and the villa in Cape Town to see which Islanders will get a chance to rekindle old flames or spark new connections.
