Former Love Island champion Millie Court has made a surprising confession ahead of her return to the iconic villa, revealing she deliberately ignored romantic advances from several ex-Islanders who slid into her direct messages.
No DM Replies Ahead of Villa Return
The 29-year-old influencer, who won the 2021 series with then-boyfriend Liam Reardon, stated she left multiple messages from former contestants unanswered. Millie, from Essex, insisted she wanted any potential connections to form organically in person during the upcoming Love Island: All Stars series, which she believes is crucial for genuine romance.
'I have received a few DMs from former Islanders, but I haven't responded,' Millie explained. 'I want it to be a surprise in there. A connection is important; I might think you're fit, but we may not get on.'
Searching for a Husband, Not Just a Boyfriend
Millie, who has been single since her final split from Liam Reardon in September 2023, is approaching her comeback with serious intent. She revealed that turning 30 this year has shifted her perspective, and she now hopes to find a life partner on the show.
'I am 30 this year and I'm in a headspace where I would like my next partner to be my husband, someone I settle down and have a family with,' Millie said. 'That would ideally be the situation. Fingers crossed there's someone in the villa for me.'
This marks her second breakup from Welsh bricklayer Liam, 26, after they briefly reconciled following an initial split in July 2022. A source close to the pair indicated last summer that Liam was the one who ultimately ended the relationship.
Strict Criteria for Potential Suitors
However, hopeful male Islanders should note Millie's non-negotiable requirements. Standing tall, she emphasised a need for a partner taller than her, especially when she wears heels, putting her close to six feet.
Astrological compatibility is also a firm red line for Millie. 'I will be avoiding anyone that doesn't match my star sign because it means we aren't compatible and it's not going to work. That's a red flag,' she stated, confirming she is a Sagittarius.
Age is another key factor. Millie expressed a preference for men over 30, or at least over 26 or 27, wanting a 'grown man' and intending to avoid younger contestants who 'need to grow up a bit.'
Furthermore, she has vowed to steer clear of any dramatic love triangles in the South African villa. 'I don't like confrontation or conflict. I am not the type of girl who gets involved in drama and I probably won't sit there and fight over a guy,' Millie asserted.
Millie's participation in the new series was confirmed on Monday. She will join other returning favourites like Jess Harding, Belle Hassan, Shaq Muhammad, and Jack Keating, and will be supported by her close friend and former Islander Chloe Burrows.
