Reality television personality Olivia Attwood has offered a candid glimpse into her marriage with professional footballer Bradley Dack, confessing the pair have been living "like passing ships in the night" over the past year.
Marriage in the Spotlight on This Morning
The 34-year-old former Love Island star made the admission during an appearance on ITV's This Morning on Wednesday. Chatting with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Attwood was initially there to promote the upcoming fourth series of her documentary show, Getting Filthy Rich, which explores the adult sex industry.
However, the conversation turned personal when Shephard referenced a recent comment she made. "You said you want to try and be a better wife this year? New Year's resolution?" he asked.
Attwood, who married Dack in 2023 after meeting him in a nightclub in 2015, replied that the remark was made in jest on Alan Carr's podcast. "I said that in jest and now people keep bringing it up, I feel like I am going to be held accountable. I don't like being held accountable," she joked.
She then elaborated on the state of their relationship, stating, "I think last year, we're very honest, we were like ships in the night, work wise." The Gillingham FC midfielder's schedule, combined with Attwood's burgeoning media career, has kept them apart. She added, "Everything else, I'd like to give him an easier time this year if I can."
Bradley Dack: A 'Good Sport' and Supportive Husband
Attwood was quick to praise her 32-year-old husband for his unwavering support, especially given the nature of her work. Shephard pointed out that Dack is occasionally employed to participate in segments of her documentary series.
When asked if Dack minds being involved, Attwood confirmed, "He's a good sport. He's super supportive." She described how she often has to convince him of the more shocking elements of her filming. "Sometimes I come home... and he'll go 'What did you do today?' I'll tell him, and he'll go 'Whatever!'... He doesn't believe me!" she laughed, noting that he is always amazed by the final edits.
Balancing a Graphic Documentary Series
The primary focus of the interview was the return of Getting Filthy Rich, a series that has covered topics from OnlyFans to stripping since it first aired in 2022. Attwood spoke of the responsibility she feels when filming.
"I feel a lot of responsibility being let into someone's home or their safe space," she said. "I don't take that lightly... I don't want anyone to ever feel uncomfortable."
She explained the show's intent is to be balanced, neither condemning nor glamourising the industry. "It's a hard line to walk," she admitted, acknowledging that the content can be "very graphic" and "not for everyone." Even her own parents have had to turn off certain scenes, finding them "a bit too much."
The couple have recently faced persistent rumours about marital difficulties, which they have openly joked about on social media. Last month, Attwood shared a skit on Instagram parodying divorce gossip. Despite the humour, she has previously acknowledged "ups and downs" in their relationship, admitting both have "f***ed up" at times.
With her resolution to be a "softer" and better wife this year—while emphatically refusing to party less or slow her work down—fans will be watching to see how this high-profile couple navigates their busy lives together.
