Former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers is reportedly facing a solitary festive period, with her once-glamorous social life in Essex having dramatically cooled off. The downturn in her personal life coincides with a significant career blow, as her latest television venture with sister Billie Shepherd has been cancelled after just one series.
Social Isolation and a Shrinking Circle
At 34, Sam Faiers, who shares three children with long-term partner Paul Knightley, 39, is said to be experiencing a starkly different Christmas. Sources claim her home, once a hub of activity during the holidays, is now much quieter, with her social circle reduced primarily to immediate family and employees.
Concerned fans noted her recent family trip to Lapland, heavily documented on social media, did not include her sister Billie or mother Sue, who are usually present. An insider told The Sun that Sam appears to have been "permanently frozen out" by the so-called 'Essex wives', leaving her to socialise mainly with her business partner, personal assistant, and colleagues from her Revive Collagen brand.
Career Setback with 'Sister Act' Axing
This personal isolation follows a professional disappointment. Her reality TV show 'Sister Act', made with sister Billie, 35, was axed after its debut series this year. The show, which premiered in August 2024, failed to attract a substantial audience.
While Faiers told followers on Instagram in November that there were "no plans for another series" due to a busy workload, industry reports suggested poor viewing figures were the decisive factor. A source claimed the programme, which often featured the sisters promoting products, "felt a bit like one long advert" to viewers.
A Changed Lifestyle for the Former Star
Sam Faiers had successfully transitioned from her TOWIE roots, building a media profile through shows like The Baby Diaries and The Mummy Diaries, and launching the award-winning supplement brand Revive Collagen. However, the recent developments paint a picture of a star whose glittering lifestyle has dimmed.
The source added, "Her circle is much smaller these days... outside of Paul, her kids and Billie, she doesn't really have many friends." The Mirror has approached a representative of Sam Faiers for comment on the reports.
